Police officers and coastguard teams were tasked with a coastal search for a missing person during the weekend.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked during the night of Saturday, February 25 to assist Cumbria police in the search for the person in the area of Allonby.
They were joined by colleagues from Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team, Burgh-by-Sands Coastguard Rescue Team, HM Coastguard Annan, Maryport Rescue, and Silloth RNLI.
A spokesperson from Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team said: “A plan was put in place and whilst in the very early stages of both land and sea searches, the welcome news came that the missing person was located and taken into the care of police.”
