CUMBRIA has remained a popular destination for celebrities this summer, drawing a wide range of stars from renowned actors to pop icons.
Whilst last year saw visits from celebrities like Charlie Hunnam, John Bishop, Steve Coogan, and Lee Mack, the trend has continued into 2024, with even more famous faces making their way to the Lake District and beyond.
Kendal Calling Festival
Besides huge names on the bill such as Noel Gallagher, the festival has once again drawn a few celeb names along the way.
This year, boxing legend Tyson Fury was spotted enjoying the festival with his wife, Paris Fury.
Former Manchester United star Gary Neville was also seen backstage at Kendal Calling, hanging out with Tim Burgess of The Charlatans. The two made an appearance ahead of their highly-anticipated DJ set.
Bridget Jones: Mad about the boy
Bringing a touch of Hollywood to the county, Renee Zellweger and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the 12 Years a Slave actor, were spotted in Keswick.
The pair are rumored to be filming scenes for the upcoming "Bridget Jones" movie, "Mad About the Boy."

Filming is believed to have been taking place in both the Keswick and Thirlmere areas for several weeks.
Television with Robson Green
Helen Skelton, a proud Cumbrian herself, and Robson Green were seen at Levens Hall with a film crew, hinting at a new project in the works in May this year.
Additionally, The Crown and Thistle pub in Rockcliffe recently hosted Robson Green and Mark Benton, who were filming for the next series of BBC's "Robson Green's Weekend Escapes."
Cheryl unwinds after Girls Aloud tour
Pop star Cheryl, fresh off a successful Girls Aloud reunion tour, chose Cumbria for some well-deserved rest.
She took to Instagram to thank her fans after spending time at a historic Georgian Hall south of Brampton at the end of August.
In her post, she praised the setting of The Country House in Castle Carrock, nestled in the foothills of the North Pennines.
"If you ever need a bit of relaxation and peace, there is nowhere better than the English countryside (in my opinion), especially when the sun shines," she shared.
Michael Portillo pops into Carlisle cafe for a brew
A Carlisle coffee shop was 'delighted' to welcome politician turned TV presenter, Michael Portillo, in for a brew at the beginning of August.
The former Conservative MP and cabinet member, who fronts the BBC history and travel series 'Great British Railway Journeys', visited John Watt & Son on Bank Street after being spotted filming throughout Cumbria.
Molly Mae & Tommy Fury celebrate a wedding in the Lakes
Former Love Island stars Molly Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were spotted in the Lake District - as they celebrated the wedding of Molly's sister Zoe Hague at the Inn on the Lake in July.
The Ullswater sighting came just a month before the couple publicly announced their breakup.
Football stars
Even football stars are getting in on the action. Manchester City 'legend, Bernardo Silva, was spotted unwinding at the Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa in Borrowdale back in May.
