A DRINK-driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.
Bradley Corkhill, 19, had been driving a Ford Fiesta on Derwent Drive in Workington on August 19. A breath test showed he had 56mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Corkhill, of Foulyeat Cottages, Moor Row, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with alcohol level above the limit.
Magistrates sitting in Workington imposed a 12-month driving ban, to be reduced by 12 weeks, if the defendant completes the drink-drivers’ rehabilitation course.
Corkhill was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
