Police are investigating after a cat was reportedly killed by a dog in the Workington area last night (September 16).
The incident is believed to have happened on the Backfield in Salterbeck at around 7pm.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information as to who owns the dog described as a black lurcher.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at https://orlo.uk/ZP2mM , quoting incident number 53 of 17 September 2024.
"You can also phone on 101.
"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111," they said.
