A YOUNG man has reportedly been verbally abused in Wigton by a group of youths - in an incident believed to be connected with a report of criminal damage, which saw eggs and glass bottles being thrown at an address in the town causing damage.
Police are investigating a case of hate related public order and criminal damage.
On October 25 between 1pm and 3pm, four young males were verbally abusing another male who was in company of a female, police said.
This occurred in Wigton between Saint Cuthbert's Close and Lidl.
The criminal damage occurred at around 2am on Orchard Road on October 26 where eggs and a glass bottle were thrown at an address causing damage.
The incidents are believed to be connected.
