A teenager died and two people were injured in a crash in West Cumbria last night.
A Fiat Punto and a Mini Cooper were in collision between Tallentire ad Gilcrux.
A 17-year-old female passenger from the Punto was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with critical injuries but later died.
The Punto driver, an 18-year-old local man, was taken to the same hospital before being transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries.
The Mini driver, a 23-year-old local man, was also seriously injured and was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary.
The road was closed from 5.15pm to midnight while the scene was examined and the vehicles recovered.
