LYON, Margaret - Irving and family of the late Margaret express their sincere thanks to everyone, relatives, friends and very caring neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, letters and cards during their recent, sad bereavement. It was uplifting to see so many of her old friends attend the funeral from Subscription Bowling Club and Carlisle Indoor Bowling Club of which Margaret had been a member and also several members of the Scots Guards Association. Neighbours have been outstanding in their support and we thank them sincerely. A sincere thanks also to Rev. Paul Terry who conducted an excellent service on the celebration of Margaret's life and to Dawn of Walker's Funeral Directors for her exceptional help and guidance through this difficult time. A special thanks from Irving to the three lady paramedics who worked so diligently with Margaret at home and to the several members of the Accident and Emergency Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary. It was touching to see granddaughter Sophie at 5 years old follow and place a posy on her Nanna's coffin. Margaret was in the words of those who knew her, a quiet, loving, gentle and remarkable lady. She will never be forgotten.
