HUDDART, Dorothy - Ray and family sincerely thank friends and neighbours for over one hundred letters and cards received expressing sympathy regarding Dorothy's passing. They also extend gratitude to the medical team at Birbeck Medical Group, nursing staff at the Cumberland Infirmary and the wonderful, affectionate carers who eased her discomfort during recent months, firstly from Cumbria Partnership NHS and, latterly, her 'angels' from Cumbria Quality Care. The quiet support from the Rev'd David Wood, plus the meticulous and sensitive handling of the funeral arrangements by Andy Johnson of Richardsons Funeral Directors are beyond praise. Finally, Ray drew solace, not only from the presence of so many British Red Cross colleagues, but also his old police and CID mates - including John Owen - who gave an address at the funeral celebration of which Dorothy would have been extremely proud.
