McPHERSON, George Batey - Vivienne and Pamela would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy following the recent sad loss of their Uncle. Special appreciation is conveyed to Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service and the Retired Fire Fighters for providing two Guards of Honour, to Reverend Janet Preston for conducting such a comforting service, and to Dr Corrigan of Brunswick House Medical Group and District Nurses for their dedication. Grateful thanks also to Barn Close Staff for the care given to George, to all who so generously donated to Barn Close Residents' Amenity Fund and The Fire Fighters Charity, and to Peter Watson of George Hudson & Sons, Funeral Directors, for his invaluable assistance with the arrangements.
