A MUSIC festival set to go this summer has been stopped by the Delta variant of Covid.
Organisers of Maryport’s one-day festival, Glassonbury announced earlier this month that the festival would go ahead on July 3.
The decision was made in light of the Government;s announcement that events such as this could go be allowed from June 21.
When that was changed to July 19 because of the raid spread of the Delta variant,
In an announcement this week, however, Glasson Rangers, who run the festival, said it has merely been postponed.
It is hoped that it will go ahead later in the summer - Covid regulations permitting.
Popular local band Broken English was due to headline the festival held in the grounds of the Glasson club on Ewanrigg Road.
