I'm looking for celebrationsGORDON DOUGLAS
Published on 22/07/2021
DOUGLAS Gordon 1956, God graced the world with the birth of Gordon Douglas whose life experiences would prove a wealth of knowledge, advice, and guidance but above all a man of integrity that was not afraid to show his love, care, and compassion for anyone in his life. Gordon sadly passed away on Tuesday 13th July and his strength lives on in his daughters and grandchildren and anyone whose lives were privileged to have been touched by it. Born in Fife with stories of how life back then would be captivating and a huge grin on his face, while talking about his upbringing with his parents Barbara and Bill. He is best known locally for his years as a taxi driver where he worked to provide for his family. Gordons life experiences ranged from being a Soldier in the famous Black Watch Regiment and the nuclear industry. Something else he spoke often on was his work during the outbreak of foot and mouth, but his caring and compassionate personality shone and is evident with the outpouring of words of sympathy, many stories of how he touched the lives of someone who had just a short journey with him in his taxi. Gordon was incredibly devoted to his late wife Jayne and leaves behind four daughters and eight grandchildren, whose hearts are broken but comforted knowing his Christian faith brings him together with Jayne again, also the support of everyone who knew Gordon and had the privilege to be touched by his loving soul. Gordon's family offer their thanks to everyone for their words of comfort and support.
