TEDFORD Walter (Ted) Passed away peacefully at Highfield House Nursing Home, Whitehaven on Tuesday 7th September 2021, aged 82. Much loved and devoted dad of David and Karen, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, father-in-law and stepgrandad, he will be deeply and sadly missed by all his family and friends. His final wish was to donate his body to medical science at Leeds University, so there will be no funeral. His ashes will later be spread in his homeland of Northern Ireland. Forever in our thoughts.

I was so sorry to read this. I knew Ted during his period as a member of Workington Amateur Operatic Society. I believe he was in our productions of Iolanthe and The Gondoliers. He was a lovely man with a great sense of humour and good company. RIP.
