BENSON Evelyn Elinor (nee Donnan) Peacefully at The Cumberland Infirmary on Monday 22nd November aged 86 years after a short illness. Dearly loved wife of Frank, precious and beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Evelyn was born and raised in Workington, attending Workington Grammar School before leaving to train as a teacher at the C F Mott College of Education, Liverpool. She spent her working life in Lincolnshire and gave many years of dedicated and inspirational service as a teacher at Kirton County Primary School near Boston, Lincolnshire. Evelyn was a very active contributor to the musical life of both Boston and Workington. Evelyn and Frank returned to Workington in 2002 where they spent 20 happy years of retirement together. Funeral Service to be held at Distington Hall on Monday 6th December at 1:15pm. Family flowers only. Any Donations to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
