COLLISTER James (Shem) Peacefully at home on Sunday 26th June 2022. James Young Collister aged 92 years. Dearest husband of Alwyne and a dear dad, father-in-law, granda and great-granda. Funeral service and interment to be held at Christ Church Great Broughton on Monday 11th July at 11.00am.Enquiries to John Sandelands Funeral Directors Tel 01900 602753.

So sorry to hear about Shem. I’ve known him since 1987 when I started driving for Armstrong’s as a green 22 year old. Shem took me under his wing and kept me right. I have always regarded (Uncle Shem) as a mentor in my early driving career. I moved to Broughton 6 years ago and often had crack with Shem as I walked the dog past his house. Shem was a lovely man.
