SCALES Charles Richard Charlie Loving husband to Sallyann Scales, cherished father to Jessica and Alexander Scales, great friend and revered colleague. Charlie was born in Escomb, County Durham, 14th January 1954 and died unexpectedly on Saturday 8th April 2023, aged 69. He was on his way home after enjoying a beautiful day on his bike with his much-loved chum. His funeral service is being held at Christ Church, 12 noon Tuesday 2nd May, with a cremation the following day at Eden Valley Crematorium, 12:30. Family flowers only, any donations will be collected in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. Charlie is resting in the care of Nelson Chicken, Funeral Director, 01900 823236.
