JEPSON Constance Margaret Ritson Affectionately known to all as Tanis of Chester How, Camp Road, Maryport. Died peacefully at Dalton Court Care Home, Cockermouth, on Sunday 5th May. Survived by husband Jim and greatly missed by a large number of friends including Old Keswickians. Private funeral on Monday May 20th but friends please meet at the Golden Lion Hotel, Maryport, from 11.30 a.m. No flowers or formal attire, please come as you are. I knew Tanis all my life. She was a lifelong friend to my Mum (Pam) as my Nanna (Bessie) and Auntie Joyce Ritson (Tanis's Mum) were great friends. I spent every New Years Eve as a child at Chester How and remember very happy times. I also remember visiting her in Catterick and her greenhouse of toads at the bottom of her garden.
As an adult I am remember times with Tanis very fondly, Her fabulous sense of humour, love of fast cars and always a twinkle in her eye. Generally, just an absolute classy lady, who was very much loved and I hope that they are all somewhere toasting her arrival and reuniting in great happiness and love
