Thomas Armstrong (Holdings) Ltd, who previously worked closely with the charity to develop its therapy, resource and information centre at Finkle Street in Workington, has donated £5,000.
While the charity also received £5,000 from design and build contractor AVRS Systems Ltd after staff nominated the charity as the chosen cause.
Dr Robert Walker, Hospice chairman, said: “We receive support from a number of local companies and their donations are important to support the work we do across West Cumbria.
“Less than a quarter of our income comes from the NHS and the remainder needs to be raised from our fundraising activities, voluntary donations and legacies.”
David Atkinson, deputy chief executive at Thomas Armstrong, said: “We decided to support Hospice at Home West Cumbria because they are a marvellous local charity who we are proud to be associated with.”
Mo Akhmed, managing director of AVRS Systems Ltd, said: "As an organisation, we try to do as much as we can for good community causes and staff decided that Hospice at Home West Cumbria would be a fantastic local charity to support."
