People can have their say about the route of a planned pipeline linking Thirlmere reservoir to West Cumbria soon.
United Utilities said the new pipeline, which will bring improved water supply to thousands of West Cumbrians, will loosely follow the A591 and will include the creation of a water treatment works at Bridekirk, near Cockermouth.
A series of exhibitions will be held so people can have a look at the plans and speak to experts.
United Utilities said following feedback from previous consultations and further engineering work, it now had more detailed plans.
The project will bring an improved water supply to 80,000 people living in the area and the route tracks the A591 northwards, skirting Keswick and passing east of Bassenthwaite Lake, before turning west towards Bridekirk.
There will be smaller water pipes distributing water from the Bridekirk works to Stainburn, Workington, Quarry Hill at Mealsgate, Summergrove near Whitehaven and Cornhow near Loweswater.
The drop-in sessions will be at the Shepherds Hotel, Cockermouth, on September 29 and 30, Lamplugh Village Hall on October 5, Keswick's Skiddaw Hotel on October 12 and Castle Inn, Bassenthwaite, on October 13. All run from 2pm to 7pm.
