Delays likely as a section of the A66 near Cockermouth has seen an emergency road closure.
An emergency road closure is in place at Ellerbeck Brow, Brigham near Cockermouth.
The closure is expected to remain in place for two weeks while a leak from the water mains is repaired.
Cumbria County Council's highways team have closed the section of road which covers 200m from the A66 junction.
A diversion is in place heading west from Ellerbeck Brow.
