ABOUT 1,400 patients in Maryport have now had their vaccine against coronavirus.
A statement posted by Maryport Health Services on Saturday said: "A few hours left of the first round of vaccinating. We expect to have jabbed approximately 1,400 patients, including all our care homes.
"We are very much hoping to receive some more vaccines this week. And, if so, we will hope to hold more clinics Wednesday-Friday this week."
Meanwhile, Castlegate and Derwent Surgery in Cockermouth were administering vaccines to care homes last week.
A post from the surgery said: "Our first visit was to Dalton Court, where we were welcomed by residents and staff eager to have their vaccination.
"We would like to give a huge thank you to the residents who kindly allowed us to take photographs of them receiving their vaccine. The first jab of the day went to a lovely lady who was an amazing 102 years old. The vaccination is so crucial for the safety of all staff and residents. We are delighted to be able to provide the vaccine to them."
They administered 272 jabs to the residents and staff of care homes in Cockermouth.
