AN APPEAL has gone out for knitters to take part in a Workington 'yarn bombing'.
Organisers are looking for donations for the event that will take place in Vulcan Park between May 10 and 16.
It is being held to mark Mental health Awareness Week.
According to the Mental Health Foundation: "It's an opportunity for the whole of the UK to focus on achieving good mental health."
A spokeswoman has asked for knitted or crotcheted square to be dropped at Workington Citizen Advice Bureau on Oxford Street.
Residents can also adopt a tree or a bench in the park for it to be covered by their creations.
The spokeswoman added: "Contact us if you want to make a large donation.
"This is usually best suited to groups working together."
