RESIDENTS are being asked whether they felt the earth move after an earthquake was recorded yesterday in Cumbria.
The 1.4 magnitude quake struck at Millbeck, close to Keswick at 6.34am yesterday.
Its location was at a depth of 8km below the surface.
The British Geological Survey has asked for anyone who felt it to fill in an online survey.
The British Geological Survey Earthquake Seismology Team is the UK’s national earthquake monitoring agency.
It operates a network of sensors across the UK to monitor earthquakes.
