A road in Workington will be closed until the end of the month.

In a notice issued by Cumbria County Council, all vehicles are prohibited from proceeding along the U2650, Central Way in Workington from its junction with Brow Top Car Park, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. distance of 110m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via Brow Top Car Park, U2545 William Street, A597, The Viaduct, Station Road, Oxford Street and the unrestricted section of Central Way.

The road will be closed until July 30.

Exemptions do apply, all of which can be found upon request from the council.
