THE EFFORTS of a talented young rugby league player have been rewarded with an under 16s national call-up.
Ellis Nixon of Seaton Rangers ARLFC has been selected to play in the England Community Lions Under 16s team.
He will compete for the side against Wales. Seaton Rangers shared the news this week with a letter from the RFL.
Alan Davidson, RFL Community International Manager said: “Congratulations on providing a talented player to represent their country and I’m sure you as a club will be as proud as the player is on being given the opportunity to represent their country with the England Community Lions.”
Seaton Rangers paid tribute to Ellis’ dedication: “His hard work and talent has been rewarded with a much deserved call up and is testament to the work of all of his coaches and support of his family.”
England Community Lions are set to clash with Wales on August 22.
Training for the game is set to begin this week at the Leigh Miners ground.
