A LOCAL rugby club are remembering the past and celebrating the present at an event this weekend.
Distington Amateur Rugby League & Community Amateur Sports Club are putting on the Past & Present evening on Saturday, September 18.
Doors are open from 5pm with events kicking off at 7pm.
There will be live music, a set by award-winning comedian John Gillan, and the whole event is raising money for MNDA, the motor neurone disease association.
Organiser Mark Askew said it would be a reunion of players and supporters from the past four decades.
People who have played for Distington; people who have volunteered; people who have coached; people who have been a regular support down the years - all are welcome.
Tickets are avaialable behind the bar for £10.
Distington play in the Iggesund Premier Division.
