WORKINGTON MP has welcomed the news that more that 120,000 people in the North West have received their Covid-19 booster jabs.
126,027 people in the North West have received their COVID-19 booster or third jab as the government continues to step up efforts to ensure that vulnerable people are fully protected against COVID-19 over the winter.
Over 10 million people across the UK have now received their booster jab, evidence of the great work the NHS has done to ensure that the most vulnerable are protected this winter.
Mark Jenkinson said: “It’s great news that over 120,000 people in the North West region have received their booster vaccine which will give them protection this winter. With 10 million booster jabs already given out across England, we are well placed to stay ahead of the virus.
“Our NHS led the country in the drive to get us all vaccinated with our first two doses, and now we must ensure that the progress we have made isn’t lost this winter. I encourage all of my eligible constituents to get their booster vaccine as soon as possible.
“With it being so easy to get a vaccine, either go online to book, or visit one of the walk-in clinics.”
