A BACKGROUND report is to be prepared on a Workington man who has admitted sending an offensive message to somebody.
Jonathan Winstanley, 23, of Firth View Walk, committed the offence in Carlisle on December 8 last year, the city's Rickergate court was told.
The defendant was granted bail and will be sentenced on February 7.
In the meantime, he was told he must have no contact the victim and nor can he go to the street in Carlisle where the person lives.
Mitigation will be put before the court when Winstanley is sentenced next month.
