A THEATRE school from Cockermouth will return once again- after having their productions put on hold due to the pandemic.
Happy Thoughts Drama Company began in October 2011 in the mind and heart of a 17-year-old girl with a dream to help other dreams come true.
At the time, in 2011, there was a lack of affordable youth theatres in the Cockermouth area.
It was through this founder, Millie Hardy-Sims, saw a niche in the market and a way to provide an outlet and a platform for young actors to work towards their dreams.
Founder Milly Hardy- Sims, said: "Our ethos has always been, and will always be, to provide a safe space for young people to develop their skills and grow in confidence, whatever they then choose to do.
"It may seem a small thing to come to a two hour rehearsal once a week, but in the long run we can promise you that time at Happy Thoughts Drama Company is carried with our actors forever."
The company will perform in an adaptation of The Little Mermaid on April, 2 and 3 at the Theatre Royal in Workington.
Tickets are £8, or £6 concessions, and available from www.theatre-royal-workington.co.uk/the-little-mermaid.
