A tiny village with a huge heart has raised more than £500 for a Ukraine appeal.
The committee of the Crosscanonby Village Hall in Crosby agreed that their Easter Fair, instead of going to hall funds, should go to the DEC appeal for Ukraine.
Spokeswoman Alice Oglanby said they were delighted at the turnout last Saturday.
"We had about 68 people through the door which is a lot in this small village.
"We raised £560 and there is still more money coming in. I had someone this morning giving me £10."
