A DRUNKEN man who damaged two parked vehicles had no recollection of the incident, a court heard.
Ben Hodgson, 25, was seen swinging a bag at a vehicle parked at Barepot in Workington on November 17 last year.
Workington Magistrates Court heard that the owner of the car had heard loud banging outside just after 10.40pm.
He looked out and saw Hodgson, who was sat on the grass, get up and swing a bag at the vehicle. He then sat back down on the grass.
Hodgson also caused damage to another parked vehicle, the court was told.

The defendant was interviewed by police but had no recollection of the incident due to being intoxicated. He said he had been drinking in JJs bar.
He caused £1,800 worth of damage to one vehicle and £159 worth of damage to the other.

Hodgson, who was unrepresented, said "I would like to think it was a one off. I had a really bad year - a toxic relationship. I have no other good excuses for it really."
He pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
The defendant was fined £80 and must pay £1,000 and £159 in compensation to each of his victims.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
