A Cockermouth group will be celebrating Civic Day by leading a town tour.
Civic Day is a national celebration of civic pride. Cockermouth and District Civic Trust is participating by organising tours of the town's castle and town trail.
The three castle tours are fully booked but people can join a guided walk round Cockermouth Town Trail.
Trust chairman Phil Campbell said: "The 1½ hour guided walk will go round our historic town centre and Conservation Area visiting places that you might not be aware of."
It will start from Old Kings Arms Lane at 10am on Saturday, June 18. No tickets required.
The civic trust is a voluntary organisation. Its objectives are to preserve and stimulate public interest in the town and surrounding area, promote high standards of town planning and architecture and secure the conservation and improvement of features of historic or public interest.
New members are welcome.
