Number 10- If you're a movie lover then why not pay a visit to The Ritz Cinema in Workington. This weekend they'll be showing Top Gun: Maverick and the new smash hit film Elvis.
Number 9- Allerdale is home to some of the most wonderful parts of the Lake District. Keswick in particular is a real treat with a fantastic market town and one of the best lakes around, Derwent Water.
Number 8- There are also some quieter parts of the lakes which you can visit. Buttermere and Loweswater, which neighbour each other, are both great places for a walk or to enjoy a country pub meal.
Number 7- Workington is home to some fantastic shops with a range of chain and independent stores. If you're looking to buy a gift for someone then you could always find something great right on your doorstep.
Number 6- The Lake District Coast Aquarium is guaranteed to be a funfilled family day out. There's a whole lot of aquatic animals to help your kids learn more about the ocean.
Number 5- As well as being part of the Lake District Allerdale also boasts some of the best parts of the wet coast. Silloth and Allonby in particular are a great place to visit.
Number 4- If you enjoy learning about our area's history then why not go to the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington or the William Wordsworth House in Cockermouth.
Number 3- The weekend is the perfect time to enjoy our area's night life and let your hair down. Why not head into Workington or Cockermouth for a good night out with your friends.
Number 2- The Jump Mania Centre in Workington is fantastic if you're looking for something a little different. With a whole indoor space filled with trampolines.
Number 1- Allerdale is a brilliant place if you love the outdoors with lots of good mountains. Helvellyn in particular offers amazing views.
