Number 9- There are some great parts of the Lake District in Allerdale to enjoy. Keswick in particular is a wonderful place with a vibrant market area and one of the most beautiful lakes in our area, Derwent Water.
Number 8- There are also some quieter places to enjoy in the countryside like Buttermere and Loweswater, two lakes that neighbour each other.
Number 7- Summer is the perfect time to go for a drive with your friends. Honister Pass has to be one of the most stunning roads in our area, travelling though stunning mountain scenery. It's well worth a visit now the suns out.
Number 6- If you're a movie lover then The Ritz Cinema in Workington is definitely the place for you. This weekend they'll be showing Jurassic World: Dominion and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Number 5- If you like to learn about local history then you can always visit the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington or the William Wordsworth house in Cockermouth.
Number 4- The Lakes District Coast Aquarium in Maryport is a wonderful place to spend the day. You and the family can learn all about aquatic life.
Number 3- Allonby and Silloth are fantastic places at this time of year. You can enjoy a walk along the coast or fish and chips with an ice cream.
Number 2- The weekend is a great time to let your hair down. Why not have a night out with your friends in Workington or Cockermouth.
