Number 10- The Ritz Cinema in Workington that has just opened over the past year shows all the latest hit movies. This weekend you can catch Thor: Love and Thunder and Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Number 9- Workington also has some brilliant places to shop with a range of chain and independent stores like HMV and JD. If you're looking to buy someone a gift then the perfect present could be right on your doorstep.
Number 8- With the Lake District and the Solway coastline to choose from there is a lot to be enjoyed in Allerdale. Keswick in particular is a wonderful town to visit with a quiant market area and stunning lake, it's not a place to be missed.
Number 7- Loweswater and Buttermere are also well worth a trip to. The two lakes neighbour each other and are perfect for a walk or to just enjoy the stunning scenery.
Number 6- As mentioned Allerdale is also home to some fantastic coastline. Places like Allonby and Silloth are simply wonderful places to spend a hot summers day.
Number 5- The Helena Thompson Museum in Workington tells visitors the history of our area. If you enjoy local heritage and learning then why not head along.
Number 4- The William Wordsworth House in Cockermouth is also an interesting place for those interested in history and literature.
Number 3- The Lake District Coast Aquarium in Maryport offers a chance to learn all about marine life, whilst experiencing fish and other creatures first hand.
Number 2- Whilst in Maryport you could also enjoy a walk around the harbourside which is rich in local history.
Number 1- If you enjoy hiking you could walk along the coastal path starting at Harrington and walking along to Maryport.
