A PADDLE boarder was rescued from Bassenthwaite Lake after getting into some difficulty.
At 8:21pm last night July 20, three fire engines attended an incident at Bassenthwaite Lake on the A591, Underskiddaw, Keswick.
Firefighters used one boat to rescue one person from the water.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Sevice, said: "Yesterday evening, crews were mobilised to help people who had come into difficulty on their paddleboards whilst on Bassenthwaite Lake.
"Due to the wind picking up, the paddleboarders were unable to get themselves back to the lake side and were left stranded in the lake.
"Be aware of how quickly the conditions can change in the water. Check the weather forecast and tide times before you set off.
"If the water is too choppy, you might find it difficult, especially if you're a beginner."
