A NURSE has been made subject to conditions by an industry watchdog.
Roshin Mohammed Sherif was made the subject of interim sanctions by the Nursing and Midwifery Council during an investigation.
The body is yet to decide whether there is a case to answer against the worker, who is employed in the adult nursing sector in Cumbria.
The NMC did not reveal where in Cumbria he works, or why the sanctions have been imposed.
For up to 18 months, he will be subject to conditions and must be 'directly observed by a registered nurse, until such time as you are deemed competent, by a registered nurse'.
He must also attend fortnightly meetings with his line manager 'to discuss your clinical case load and competencies, with particular regard to medicines management and administration, care planning and other documentation, infection control, moving and handling, safe clinical handover [and] communication skills'.
He must also work with his line manager to create a personal development plan to look at performance in those areas.
He must also inform the case officer within seven days of any clinical incidents he is involved in or any change of employment.
The sanctions were imposed following an NMC hearing and are due to be reviewed in six months.
Writing to the nurse, the NMC said: "Unless your case has already been concluded, this interim order must be reviewed before the end of the next six months and every six months thereafter.
"Additionally, you or the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) may ask for the interim order to be reviewed if any new evidence becomes available that may be relevant to the interim order.
"At any review a panel may revoke the interim order or any condition of it, it may confirm the interim order, or vary any condition of it, or it may replace the interim conditions of practice order with an interim suspension order. The NMC Case Examiners are yet to decide whether there is a case to answer in relation to the allegations made against you.
"The NMC will write to you when the case is ready for the next stage of the fitness to practise process."
