After two years of Covid cancellations, a Cockermouth group is back in the swing of it.
Cockermouth Ukulele Band play purely for pleasure, fundraising for charities and good causes.
After a quiet couple of years the players are delighted to be back in demand and busier than ever
"We have had a summer of non-stop fun gigs, including fetes, women's institutes, agricultural shows, social clubs, beer festivals, steam rallies, Cockermouth Live, Chamber of trade events and National Trust events," said player Jen Wright.
In the space of one week they were named 'Best of Show' at Distington Steam Rally and appeared on television when they were part of Cockermouth Charities Weekend.
The musicians all enjoyed taking part in the event organised by Cockermouth Chamber of Trade.
"We raised £179 for Hospice at Home thanks to the generosity of the passing public who enjoyed our music and gave generously," said Jen.
