From a-list actors to top celebrity chefs, there's been plenty of visitors this year alone, never mind in throughout the decades.
Here is a list of the some of the famous faces to pop through our county in recent years.
Taylor Swift
Do you remember when Harry Styles and Taylor Swift took a min-break in the Lake District?
The couple travelled to Bowness on Windermere back in 2012.
They stopped by several shops in the area, such as the Beatrix Potter nursery shop.
Taylor loves the Lake District so much that she decided to dedicate a song from her album to it.
The track called The Lakes is a bonus song on her new album, Folklore.
Some of the lyrics include: "Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die," and, "Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry."

Everybody's favourite chef Gordon Ramsey spent a day with Keswick and Cockermouth Rescue Teams, as they hanged from a harness to have lunch, over-looking over Honister Slate Mine - all as part of filming for Gordon's latest BBC show, Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars.
Tom Cruise
Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise was pictured filming in the Lake District, shooting his latest Mission Impossible movie. The star ran into Adrian Newby, as he was walking up High Crag, Buttermere with his daughter Becca and their cockapoo Bernie.
Only just last week, three primetime TV stars popped into a West Cumbrian Cafe for a cone. Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle), Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) and Zoe Henry (Rhona Goskirk), all stopped into Hartley's Beach Shop and Tearooms for a cuppa - while it appears they were holidaying in the area.

David Hasslehoff
Back in 2016, Baywatch star David Hasslehoff paid a visit to Holbeck Ghyll in Windermere. Subsequently, in 2020 to promote tourism in the area, he posted this to the Lake District website: "The lake, the hotel, Holbeck Ghyll… the time we spent in Cumbria was magical. Almost like being far far away in a calm serene place of beauty - A place to sigh and look into a lover’s eyes”
