Inbound Workington Town coach Anthony Murray had already hit the ground running securing the signings of Matty Henson, Ciaran Walker and Jordan Thomson for 2023.
And on Sunday evening it was announced that Luke Broster (formerly of Elenborough Rangers), who had impressed in the 2022 pre season, would be returning to Derwent Park following a spell at West Wales Raiders in 2022.
Following that Liam McNicholas has made the transition from Distington and will add some size in the pack coming in at second row.
The third signing of the evening came in the way of Joe Kirkup, who carved himself a professional deal coming up from the amateur ranks in the final stages of the 2022 season with impressive performances at Featherstone Rovers and London Broncos in particular.
Malik Steele was the next to put pen to paper for 2023 as just rewards for some superb efforts for Town in 2022.
The final signing is one of huge intent by Workington as the reigning NCL Division Two player of the year Blain Marwood makes his return to Derwent Park. The young half back followed in his father's footsteps in becoming a firm favourite at Derwent Park before a return to Barrow Island in 2022.
