Award-winning Cumbrian accountancy firm, Lamont Pridmore, has been ranked in second place in the UK from all the mid-sized accountancy practices in the Accountancy Age Mid-Tier Power Index 2022.

This new ranking, launched for the first time this year, highlights some of the very best accountancy firms in the UK and is designed to place the spotlight on the UK accountancy industry’s top mid-tier practices.

Firms are judged and ranked on a series of qualitative criteria rather than the existing quantitative metrics of just total fee income, including innovation, efficiency, growth, professional excellence, people and community.

Designed to celebrate the UK accountancy industry’s top mid-tier practices, this new ranking is made up of only 40 of the nation’s best firms and has been judged by a team of industry experts.

Having judged Lamont Pridmore’s entry, the organisers of this accolade were impressed with the firm as a whole. Accountancy Age said that Lamont Pridmore had “undertaken an ambitious shift towards advisory services in recent years” and had as a result added considerable value to its clients’ businesses and their personal lives, differentiating them from the more traditional accountancy practices.

The firm was also recognised for its considerable support of the local community and businesses in Cumbria, as well as its drive to grow and develop its team of experienced professionals.
