WORKINGTON MP Mark Jenkinson has launched his first Primary School Christmas Card Competition.
With the festive season fast approaching, this competition is open to all pupils aged 3 – 11 in the Workington Constituency.
The MP has already written to all primary schools inviting them to take part.
Mr Jenkinson said: “This is a great opportunity for our children to showcase their artistic talent and festive spirit this Christmas. Any Christmas design is welcome; however, it would be great to see some local landmarks or people featured.

I really am excited to see all the amazing entries – I encourage all children to get involved!
All designs should be hand drawn on A4 paper and will be judged by a panel – including myself. The winning design will have pride of place on the front of the card, with the runners up inside.”
Entries should be sent to the constituency office at 104 Senhouse Street, Maryport, CA15 6BS by October, 31.
