A WORKINGTON specialist school will be closed for three days following an 'external safeguarding and health and safety review'.
The Cumbria Academy of Autism has closed today and will remain so for three days as a 'precautionary measure'.
Cumbria County Council announced on their website: "School will be closed from October 19, and is due to re-open October 31.
"Unfortunately, following an external safeguarding and health and safety review, the board of Trustees have taken the very difficult decision to temporarily close our school for three days from Wednesday, October 19 through October 21 2022.
"This is a precautionary measure in order to ensure all health and safety related policies, procedures and training for staff are fully up to date and suitable for the school."
