MARYPORT joined the nation in remembering the fallen with a well-attended event at the Memorial Gardens.
But the town's children held their own commedmoration on Friday when a special service was held for them, and their hand-made wreaths were laid at the altar of All Souls' Church.
Children have been learning the signifance of the day in their classrooms and several have had the chance to talk to veterans.
