Cumbria Police have been called out this evening, December 11, to reports of a person falling through ice.
The police and other emergency services were called out to the Siddick Ponds area of Workington.
No persons are unaccounted for following the searches.
A spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended Siddick Ponds following a report from a member of the public who believed they had seen someone fall through the ice.
"The call was received shortly after 3.45pm on Sunday (11 Dec).
"Police and NWAS were called and attended along with colleagues from Cumbria Fire and Rescue, assistance from HM Coastguard and their helicopter and voluntary organisation West Cumbria Search and Rescue.
"At this time, police enquiries have not established anybody being unaccounted for. Officers have also located and spoken with a group of boys with their parents - one of whose leg briefly broke through the ice but he did not fall in.
Searches have now concluded with no evidence at this time of anyone having fallen through the ice.
