FLOOD alerts and a warning have been issued for Cumbria over the next five days by the Environment Agency as water levels rise.

A flood warning has been issued for Keswick Campsite in which flooding is to be expected. 

A spokesperson from the Environment Agency said: "Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions. Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water. 

"Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have. The Environment Agency Flood Warning System has issued this message based on rising river or tidal levels," they said.

Flood alerts throughout north and west Cumbria:

  • River Eden
  • River Caldew
  • Rivers Wampool and Ellen
  • Rivers Lowther and Eamont. 
  • Rivers Ehen, Calder, Irt and Esk
  • Rivers Cocker, Marron and Derwent
