A popular tourist destination in the Lake District has been named among the UK tourist spots with the worst public toilet access.
Castlerigg Stone Circle, in Keswick is one of the UK’s tourist hotspots with the worst toilet access, located 2,538 metres from the nearest facilities.
That’s according to QS Supplies, who identified popular tourist attractions in the UK and used Google Maps geocoding API to find each place’s nearest free-to-use bathroom/
A spokesperson said: "It doesn’t matter how last-minute you leave your last-minute wee before a day out. You’re sure to find yourself needing a bathroom break as soon as you’re out of range of familiar, tried-and-tested toilets.
"For those venturing abroad, the team at QS Supplies also found the tourist attractions in the U.S. that stray furthest from public toilets."
