A MAN has been ordered to sign the Sex Offender Register for five years after sexually touching a woman.
Tony Huddart, 40, pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a female, when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Huddart intentionally touched the woman, who was aged over 16, and the touching was sexual.
The offence took place in Workington on September 9 last year.
Huddart, of Moorclose Croft, Workington, is required to sign the Sex Offender Register for five years.
The defendant was given a 12-month community order with a six-month curfew, to run daily from 6pm to 6am.
He must also complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days with the probation service.
A restraining order was granted, which bans Huddart from contacting the victim by any means for six months.
