‘Around the World in 80 Days’ - Theatre by the Lake’s Easter extravaganza - opens in Keswick next week.
Directed by Hal Chambers and designed by Louie Whitemore, this bold new production of the much-loved classic promises to be the ultimate race against the clock, said a spokesman.
Stefan Adegbola will take on the iconic role of Phileas Fog in the brand new production which opens March 31.
Liz Stevenson, Theatre by the Lake’s Artistic director, said: “This production is a great way to launch our own home-produced work for 2023.
"It’s going to be a fun, theatrical spectacular that’s perfect for everyone from families to school groups and grown-ups too.
"I’m so excited about Hal’s production as I know it will be full of heart and adventure and he’s put together a fantastic team of creatives and actors, most of whom are enjoying being in Keswick for the first time.
"We’re also delighted that the joy will continue over at Hull-Truck who we are co-producing with. Be ready for a whirlwind ride that is fast and full of surprises!”
It runs until April 29. Tickets: from £10. Book online at www.theatrebythelake.com, or on 017687 74411.
