After a successful first run, a music promoter is looking to host another concert with a popular west Cumbrian theatre.
Russ Withey of RockWith will be hosting a second event to help promote local talent at The Carnegie in Workington.
On Thursday, March 16, the first event was held at the theatre and was a great success they are now hoping that the event will become a regular feature with another concert planned for late April.
This month's event saw local musicians Emma Hunt and Peter Wilson stepping up to perform.
Mr Withey said: "We've decided to host another concert, this time on a Sunday afternoon. The one that we've got coming up on April 30 features three local acts.
"It's just going to be an afternoon of live music, we wanted to try something new by doing it in the afternoon and seeing how well it performs in the area.
"We've been appealing for local acts to get in touch with us and have handpicked three talented acts so far.
"The first one we've got performing is called No Good Reason and they're a really good local band who do a lot of covers and also a lot of songs of their own.
"We've then got a band called Nova who is a load of lads from Carlisle College who recently played a gig for us at The Source.
"The third artist is quite well known in the area, Phil Lewthwaite. He's got a varying music genre and I think that he'll be a good addition to the afternoon.
"It's another great opportunity for us to showcase the musical talent in Cumbria and put on a really good afternoon of music.
"It should be fun, there'll be a fully licensed bar and food available at the cafe and tickets this time is £5.
"The last event went well but we'd have liked a few more people coming, it had a few less than I expected but I still think it was a good night and the acts were excellent.
"We need to get a few more people coming out to these music days."
