A unique sculpture which forms part of Cockermouth's Host of Golden Daffodils event will become a permanent feature in the town.
To support the annual event staged by the town's rotary club, Branthwaite blacksmith and artist Alan Dawson made a raw steel daffodil sculpture, which is positioned on Main Street.
At a recent town council meeting it was agreed the artwork should be found a permanent home in the town.

Cllr David Malloy said: "It's a very very nice piece of work which will oxidise over time.
"I would like it to be kept in town."
He suggested two locations: opposite Wordsworth House, by the bust of Dorothy, or at the Gote Road/ Crown Street junction, where the flowerbed is.
Cllr Simon Nicholson suggested the top of Kirkgate. "It's less likely to be vandalised there," he said.
It was agreed to use the town council-owned flowerbed.
"It can be concreted in to the bed itself," said Cllr Malloy.
Mayor Andrew Semple said: "That's a good spot, you can see it as you're coming into town."
